The village of Miziara in Northern Lebanon is home to this pyramid shaped house, complete with statues and all the amenities only a pharaoh could dream of. 9. Greek Temple How would you like to feel like an ancient Greek god and live in a replica temple? Also in the Lebanese city of Miziara, this Greek temple is a replica of the temple in Baalbek that was built in Lebanon. Certainly it features some modern technologies like a flushing toilet, washing machine, dryer etc but his friends must think the homeowner who made this thinks quite highly of himself, right? 8. Porcelain House, China This photo shows the front of the Porcelain house built in China by Zhang Lianzhi who was a huge collector of everything porcelain. Over 400 million fragments of porcelain were collected for this project which included 5,000 vases, 4000 antique china dishes and bowls, 400 marble stone carvings and 20 tons of crystalline rocks. The French-styled house is valued at over 65 million dollars and is open to the public. It also displays the man’s collections of bronze, china and wood. Let’s home an earthquake doesn't happen here for his sake. 7. House on a Rock Talk about living in the middle of nowhere. This house here was built on a rock on the Drina River in Serbia in May 2013 and for whatever reason, the homeowner though it would be an ideal location to build a house. Maybe he’s into fishing and can reel in a few fish from his window. The house seems to be made of wood and he’s really hoping the tide doesn’t start to rise. Either way, makes a great place to get away in peace! 6. Most Narrow House Can you imagine living between two buildings like this man here, just over an alleyway? This photo here displays one of the world's most narrow structures in the world that is actually wedged between two existing buildings. It’s only 3 feet at its most narrow point which would probably make anyone a little claustrophobic. Built somewhat as an artistic display in Warsaw, Poland; the man who constructed it claims it was made to honor his family who died in the holocaust and it will be in use twice a year when the Israeli man comes to visit Poland. 5. Rock House If you think we’ve advanced from the stone age, think again. You’d expect Fred Flintstone to be walking out of here any minute now with his pet dinosaur. Although it’s cleverly disguised as a large stone, this is a full functioning home in the Nas Mountains in Portugal and has become a huge tourist attraction! It’s complete with windows, solar panels, wind mills, a chimney and doors on the exterior. In this photo you see how difficult it is on google maps to actually tell it’s a home! This house seriously rocks! 4. UFO House in Florida People were obsessed with UFO and futuristic designs, especially during the 1960’s. What appears as if a flying saucer has landed is actually a home and a design of a Finnish architect named Matti Suuronen. This type of house was dubbed the Futuro House and was light enough to be moved by a helicopter. Maybe this explains so many UFO sightings? You can still find these in some trailer parks in Pensacola, Florida, possibly abducting cows. 3. Inversion House This is basically what happens in math class when you try dividing by zero. In 2005, the inversion house was created and inspired by two sculptors Dan Havel and Dean Ruck. The exterior skins of the wood of the house were peeled off to create a vortex looking tunnel that you might not want to step into. The house was already in somewhat bad condition when they came across it, so they used pieces of the house to make it into something fun. This became one of Houston's most well-known pieces of art. 2. Water Tower House Why let a perfectly good water tower be demolished when it can be turned into a perfectly good home? The person in Belgium who bought the tower had high expectations and turned it into something like a mansion in the process! The 100 foot high tower originally served as a hideout from the Nazi’s but then turned into this miraculous living space. Complete with spiral staircases, wooden floors, and sleek modern furniture. Don’t forget the great views from the top of the tower! 1.Transparent House in Japan This house in Japan is completely see-through, offering the tenants absolutely no privacy whatsoever. But if you got nothing to hide, might as well! This transparent house is 914 square feet and the ones who live here say they love it because of all the great views it offers them. The entire interior is white and the inhabitants wear this color in order to camouflage just a tad.
