  5. were not harry potter fans were potterheads
  6. aerogels are not strong enough nor transparent enough for windows.
  7. I can't believe it. Last week I did a presentation about materials, and the slogan was "the future is now" as well; and I do believe that, because graphene will make possible things we've ever seen on movies and books
  8. oh realy, i only whent out 3 times today
  9. You can easily make your own transparent aluminum at home. All you need is some aluminum foil and a lighter.
Step 1: Hold up the sheet to a light source to make sure you can't see through the aluminum foil.
Step 2: Heat up the spot you wish to make transparent on the aluminum foil with the lighter. Be mindful not to burn a hole through your aluminum foil (although this will make it transparent it not the effect we're looking for) Let it cool down
Step 3: hold it up to a light source, you should be amazed to see light will now pass through the aluminum foil. I told you it was easy.
  10. Huh...so does anyone have any unwanted Adamantite, Tungsten, Steel,
    Chromium, Uranium, Inconel, Brass,
Gold, Diamond, Wurtzite Boron Nitride, Lonsdaleite, Palladium, Platinum, Osmium,
    Bismuth, Mercury, Nickel, Cobalt, Tin,
Krypton, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Quartz, Silver and Fluorine?
  11. SCIENCE IS A LIE!! RELIGION IS THE ONLY TRUTH!!
  12. It's Aluminium NOT Aluminum
  13. People keep telling me that we'll have invisibility cloaks soon, but I just can't see it.
  14. being a cop is dank
  15. the future is NOT now... :D
  16. You're absolutely right! There is such a thing as "transparent aluminium". It's actually called aluminium oxynitride (ALON). This material is so strong that it's used as antiballistic glass by the military.
  17. Transparent aluminum? It's called sapphire.
  18. you should wait at least a second between everyone
