i was not sure if i should upload this video. but at last i decided to do so. this is the story of hotel metropole vienna. most people - even viennese - have no idea about this building and it`s history - all memory was elimated after 1945. i`m fascinated by it`s history and i spend a lot of time with researching for my project. my new project is writing a book about hotel metropole. the music and most of the pics - i do not have any rights. but for me this song is absolutely perfect for this video. thank you for watching! music: wiped out by archive - maybe the most underrated and one of the best bands ever!

1. I feel bad missing seeing the memorial when I was in Vienna.

Whilst waiting for the bus to return us to the Airport in Morganplatz I only really had a few minutes to simply notice the memorial, and of course saw immediately the words Gestapo which sounded alarm bells as to what actually this all was about. On returning to England I tried to translate the words and in doing this and carrying out further research came across your excellent film. Thank you and may I ask you to perhaps consider putting more wording on your film to educate people even more please. No words can describe the hell that was carried on in this evil place by evil people. The photos showing the typists standing around smiling smugly with the other evil criminal torturers says it all for me.
3. I also am interested in the history of the old hotel, I have visited the suite and have thought of the people who suffered. Your video is much appreciated.
