Abandoned OZ: Morella Sydney's Abandoned Mosman Mansion

Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

Sydney's Abandoned Northern Beaches Mansion Built in 1939, this amazing piece of architecture and history named "Morella" lays in ruins. It has been abandoned for approximately 10-15 years when the owner moved to northern NSW. Now no one owns this property as the soul survivor of the family line passed away in 2015. 13. Thanks Abandoned OZ for uploading this video. I have always been interested in the history of abandoned properties and researched a little about "Morella" recently. Mr Parer, who died aged 84 did not leave a will. His former nurse and live-in carer Chew “Chewee” Ho Hong made a successful claim for letters of administration as his defacto, inheriting his entire estate. A recluse who never married, Mr Parer suffered a stroke, followed by the early onset of dementia. His carer Ms Ho Hong was understood to have been hired by the family several before his death, and the pair lived together until Mr Parer’s death in 2015. Ms Ho Hong absolutely deserved to inherit the house, even though it was derelict, given her de facto relationship with Mr Parer over more than 20 years. The property was purchased by a Chinese buyer for $6.6million which would most likely be the value of the land only. If you want to learn a bit more about the history,
