Now known as 2 North Riverside Plaza the old Chicago Daily News building is gorgeous art deco masterpiece was built on the profits generated by a paper that sold for pennies. Located along the south branch of the Chicago River across from the Chicago Lyric Opera building another architectural gem. Both were opened in 1929 at the height of one of the cities many building booms.
