I had the hilarious yet privileged position of running the old lever elevators for needy patrons of the Belle Chere street festival in the summer of 1982 when it was so young that no one thought of the personal needs of the attendees! The building is so beautiful and I hope my beloved Asheville maintains it as it deserves!Thanks for the post!
