http://www.atomiccity.tv The silly, sexy retro future fantasy for anyone who loves Gilligans Island, The Jetsons, Get Smart, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, James Bond and other fun stuff from the sixties This is what we thought the future was going to be like in the 60s. Enter a world of flying cars, robots, mini-skirts, Tom Jones music... all set in the wacky town of "Lost Vegas", following the bumbling adventures of Stan Velvet. Created by Markus Rothkranz, this is as far as you can get from a reality show. These are bits and pieces of a pilot episode Markus put together to show the concept. 1. Fallout, the TV show...

In all seriousness, though, I'm always a bit staggered when I see those old concept drawings for what today was thought to look like back then versus how it actually turned out. What the hell happened?!

I dunno, I just think that the future as seen then looks a lot more fun and exciting than what we really got. I want my jetpack, my robot helper, and a moon vacation darn it!
  2. Oops, I think the pirate ship/female privateers were called "Pyrettes", weren't they?
  3. Such fun to come across this again, Markus -- I still have a copy of this at home somewhere you gave me when I was with the State of Nevada film commission headquartered in Las Vegas, along with a "demo" of your female buccaneers/privateers, "The Pyrates." Where can people see that online?
  4. This is totally brilliant, Markus! So refreshing. entertaining and unique. Would love to see this go into production.
  5. Markus this is an awesome concept for a show.  You might want to dust it off and pitch it to Netflix.  Especially the opening monologue rocks...    If I was playing script writer with it I might have the Elvis voice for the opening dialogue and pretend as if it was him saying it but then maybe not have the main character look like Elvis...  Or even better the main character could be an Elvis impersenator which would also be hilarious seeing someone like that getting caught up in all this government conspiracy.

My wife and I love you and your wife Markus, and James too!  We've benefited from your teaching(I try to eat alot more "green stuff" and am an avid chewer of my food now too).

    Thanks for everything!
  6. This is a really fresh concept!!! I would love to see this on tv!
  7. This is a great idea for a TV show.  I hope it goes forward soon, and I hope it airs in my area.
  8. I would watch the hell out of this, haha.
  9. The future that never was, is FINALLY here!!
  10. Markus, please make your film projects available to the world!  I've been looking for "To The Ends Of Time" for nearly 25 years, and only today learned the title.  And "Atomic City" looks like a total blast!!!  Tell us all where we can get our own copies of your fantastic cinematic visions!  So inspiring!
  11. Loved it! I remember that future.
