  1. As far as I can tell, the head of the pin is not the source point. If anything, it's the top of the pin. Pay attention to the graphic of the pin just before you place it. It has a crosshair, which not at the point of the pin. To add to the confusion, after you actually place the pin, the pin graphic shifts down, which means the source point is basically at the top of the pin graphic. Very confusing. Try placing a pin right at the corner of something on the map and you'll see what I mean.
  2. lol i noticed the city of Kamloops. Good to see familiar map references
  3. does it matter if my units in CAD in millimeters and in google its in Meters ? so how can i change the google units
  4. thanks for given this tutorial
  5. I have a problem. I have downloaded the free version of google earth. I put the pin in the place I want but the coordination are in a diffrent way. Its like that: 37°40'31.66"Β 24°21'7.83"Α
What can I do to change them into the type that Autocad has?
  6. when i mail a cadd file with image, the receiver only get its link.pls tel me the remody
  7. so i am using AutoCad 2016. I have to measure my parking. I want to do it from google map. how can i go it?
  8. WHERE CAN I GET THE BETTER AT EVERYTHING TEMPLATE FOR FREE?
  9. I have this problem: when placing the image it displays it huge and the map small, not like the video, how can i do so it appears like the example, best regards
  10. Open google earth save image. open global mapper and rectify the image. thats the proffesional way. Simple!
  11. you can also draw a line from two common points.  a minimum of two lines are needed. in this case you could have used the center of a cultasac and maybe the center of an intersecting street.  draw the line from the common point on the image to the common point on the line work in cad.  then use align and select the end point from the line on the image then the end point of the same line on the line work.  do the same thing for the second line.  then hit return and choose yes for rotate and scale and it should align with out using northing and easting.  its a quicker way of making it work.
  12. I am confused and must be bad at searching but where do i find these property lines? i am in the U.S.A. specifically California and i cannot seem to find if the county or the city has property lines available in the format of a dwg. all i can find are blurry city maps.
  13. When I try and 'align' I cant select the image, its as if the image is now part of the background and I just cant select it for anything.
  14. I just want to know how you got Google Earth, free version,to display the northing and easting as 6,000,000 and 5,000,000.  My Google Earth shows the numbers at about have that size and I cannot figure out how to change the coordinates.  I have changed the options in Google Earth from degress, minutes, seconds to Universal Transversal Mercator and still no change.  Please explain.
  15. Looks nice in model space, when I go to paper space and try to print, the line work disappears.  It shows on the screen, but not on the print. Any suggestions?
  16. thank you tube this video
