Beautiful 1880's West Australian Pub - Art Deco Interior & Story of Aboriginal Racism

Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

My quick story on an example of racism does not reflect on the this Pub or its strong family history, it affected every town in Australia, and still does to this day unfortunately... not just pubs... many areas and examples. Wagin's first hotel was built in the 1880's. The hotel was rebuilt in 1900 - 1904 and bought and run by the Moran family (who still hold the licence) in 1921. Family run, Morans' (as it is known locally) offers hotel room accomodation and home style cooking either in the dining room or at the bar. The hotel is in Tudor Street Wagin. http://members.westnet.com.au/waginin... http://members.westnet.com.au/waginin...

  2. A fantastic Building Bill . Not dissimilar to some building over here in UK/GB . Sep those Coloured panes of glass by the main door ( lights ) The style. They are very Early 1900's my reckoning .

As for racism , it's a shame that the Aboriginal people have been treated so poorly. Life so harsh as it is, in the Outback of Australia . You think that White Australian's would be thankful for any help or advice from persons that inhabited the lands for thousands of years before them , and know how to survive as experts .
  3. I will do a full video on this historic pub, including the beautiful bar where people drink and beautiful relics and bottles and other relics behind the bar on display - dusty blue bottles... so beautiful walking int that bar.... the stale beer smell, nicotine smoke stained walls....with plenty of nice photos of the architechure, hotel rooms, with recorded sounds of patrons talking and other nice sounds... I might even say the night,, and get some ghost footage, creaks of floorboards etc
  4. beautiful pub, unfortunately racism has been a curse upon us, terribly so until recent times.
