VISIT http://jwarchitecture.tumblr.com Digital Architecture Animation: SECOND YEAR Architecture Project by Jonathan Wilson: Biomorphic Architecture: Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice The Peggy Guggenheim Collection, situated on the Grand Canal, provides Venice with a cultural landmark and a significant collection of modern artworks. This project aims to extend the building, allowing for a larger collection of more contemporary artworks and installations. Preserving the existing neoclassical facade, the new building morphs from the existing, forming two new gallery floors and an events spaces. The Biomorphic Architecture allows the formation of fluid internal space and architectural elements. The new building, having "grown" from the existing site provides Venice with a contemporary continuation of Peggy Guggenheim's legacy -- the celebration of modern and contemporary Art.
