Buffalo Travel -- The Pearl Street Grill

Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

From September 20 to 23, 2013 I went on a Buffalo travel adventure. Buffalo, New York, had long been on my list to explore, and I started off my three and a half day stay with a visit to Canalside, Buffalo's recently revitalized waterfront area near the mouth of the Erie Canal. I even went on a boat tour on the Erie Canal and visited some of the historic silos that are so characteristic of Buffalo's skyline. I also got an extensive tour of the historic and splendidly renovated Hotel Lafayette, took in some art at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and enjoyed gorgeous flowers and plants at the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Garden. To explore the outstanding architecture of Buffalo I went on an architecture tour with Open Air Buffalo and learned a lot about places such as the Richardson-Olmsted Complex, the Kleinhans Music Hall, the downtown historic skyscrapers as well as the Barton House by Frank Lloyd Wright. As far as Buffalo's culinary scene is concerned, I checked out the Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, the Pan-American Grill & Brewery, the Blue Monk, Ashers Juice Bar & Café and the AK Café at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. Conveniently, I stayed right in the heart of Buffalo's Theatre District in the Comfort Suites and also visited the Lofts on Pearl . One of the highlights was a guided tour of the Buffalo City Hall, a world-renowned masterpiece of Art Deco architecture.
