This documentary was made in 1983 by The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (Part 1 of 2). The WTC opened in 1970 after 8 years of construction. 2. The WTC was the dream of David Rockefeller, chairman of the Chase Manhattan Bank, and Nelson Rockefeller, former Governor of New York. 3. The Rockefellers wanted to name the towers after themselves, but the mayor of NY, John Lindsay, insisted on the World Trade Center. 4. The City chose to build the WTC instead of building a new tunnel and large bridge over the Hudson River. 5. The World Trade Center was designed by architect Minoura Yamasaki. 6. According to Yamasaki, downtown Manhattan was the perfect place to erect the towers because there wasn't "a single building worth saving in the neighborhood." 7. Owners of nearby buildings disagreed, and delayed demolition by three weeks with their protests. 8. Sixteen blocks were cleared to house the completed WTC. 9. More than 10,000 workers involved in building the complex. 10. More than 60 of them died during construction. 11. The excavation work displaced enough soil to create Liberty Park, where four 60-floor towers and four apartment buildings were constructed. *** Please note "Fact 11" is disputed - YT member "opusbeme" claims it should read Battery Park City !! *** 12. The WTC's foundations were laid at 60 feet below ground level. 13. The complex covered 16 acres when finished. 14. In addition to the towers, five other office buildings made up the WTC complex The WTC had 12 million square feet of space. 15. Each floor was 50,000 square feet. 16. The buildings had their own ZIP codes - 10047 and 10048. 17. The towers were designed to look like a futuristic sculpture. 18. The structure was revolutionary. Its main supports were external, lining the four corners of each tower. 19. Critics condemned the completed buildings as "boring." 20. Completed, the buildings were 100 feet taller then the Empire State building.

  4. Construction of the World Trade Center Towers 1966 - 1973 the Oragens of the Twin Towers set back to 1946 when New York Lawmakers first conceived an idea of an International or a World Trade Center. with about 10,000 dollars was going to be used to reorganize New York's Ports the idea was scrapped it wouldn't reserface again for more than a decade and only then the changes of urban renewal and one of New York's most famous Aires David Rockefeller grandson of deceased billion air John D. Rockefeller. In 1958 Rockefeller spearheaded what was called the billion dollar plan to excavate business and revitalize Lower Manhattan. to fund and build the new project David Rockefeller and his supporters turned to the Port Authority. In 1962 the World Trade Center site was moved from the East Side to the Middle of a West Side Neighborhood known as Radio Row. Radio Row Merchants Protested but their shops would vanish by means of the Reacking Ball as planners build the biggest skyscrapers and New York City geared up. Planners decided the World Trade Center Site would occupy sixteen ackers but it was not yet known who would design it. It was in Late 1962 when Japanese American Architect Minorol Yamahasakie won the contract to build the tallest skyscrapers he experimented model after model. he came to an idea of ten skyscrapers. then one gigantic one but kept coming back to two slender towers. in January of 1963 Yamahasakie came to an idea of two 80 story towers sprouting from a huge open plaza. The problem was with the building over 80 stories tall so much of the lower floors take up the space for the Elevators needed to service the upper floors that the building becomes unecanomic. the problem was solved by treating each third of the Skyscraper as a separate 40 story building so that fewer elevator shafts would be needed. This pattern was repeated three times and whole system was linked together with Express Elevators that would go the whole height of the building. In the Mid 60s Architect Minorol Yamahasakie chose to build the 110 story World Trade Center Towers on the Radio Row Area on New York's lower West side because there wasn't a single building to save in the neighborhood. All 164 buildings involved Radio Row Area were Demolished. The two World Trade Center Towers remained the World's Tallest Buildings? all the way through the Bombing in 1993 until September 11, 2001 the North Tower (Tower 1) survived a serious fire on the 11 Floor on February 14, 1975 The Buildings suffered a Major Power Failure on July 10, 1977 set by Riots, one of the Towers experienced a near miss with an Argentine Airliner in 1981. On February 26, 1993 the men who were linked to Al Qida attacked Tower 1 (North Tower) with a Ryder Truck Bomb. Six people died. more than a thousand were wounded.
  5. the picture of the two men on the wooden platforms was re-used as gelitins works ... creepy
  6. impossible that two planes could disappear inside these buildings! and if you think they could then you are brainwashed..
  7. What's the name of the music?
  8. So how the hell does a plane crash on the top part of the tower and a small fire unable to melt steel bring down the whole thing like it was made of sticks 🤔
  9. This so called "9/11" or whatever the fuck it's called, it was all a fucking setup by the US govt, he'll, they even use dynamite explosive to bring the towers down, those planes are just for show.....
  10. looking back at it now you would have never would have looked back and say we were building american.
  11. I was the one who did that and i drop the plane 😋😋😋😋
  12. WOW! Those some mighty strong buildings to have been brought straight down by fiberglass/aluminum planes and kerosene fires aren't they? Not to mention a 3rd one fell straight down too, w/o a frikin plane hitting it! .......Most American's must be blind or stupid! Or at least i have met a lot on yt that are! lol
  13. So no one is going to use their brain and realize they tore down these buildings due to the damage of the foundation. The japanese architect that made it shouldve been put to blame. America did not care of having 3000 americans lose their lives over a construction mishap. They used the "attack" as a reason to go the war on the middle east for oil and to have a central bank system. These buildings were gunna fall and alot of more people wouldve died if it wasnt a planned demolition. America did not have the guts to tell nyc they needed to tear down the buildings because it wasnt built safe. So they made it as a terrorist attack.
  14. Such beautiful buildings gone to waste, now all we got is one fucking tower and it doesn't look much
  15. And you'r telling me a plane hits each building a thats all it takes to knock them down? bullshit! the US government really fucked every one over on this one.
  16. damn these niggas was smart, i cant build a dog house
  17. I look at how much steel was in this building and the structure of it. How did one tank of jet fuel, dissintagrate   and destroy 110 stories ???????
  18. The sound/song is so old and kind of weird
  19. The central core with its cross bracing  looks very strong. How did the pancake theory go again?
