Chuck Thacker, Challenges for Computing in the 21st Century

In 1994, Thacker was inducted as a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery and in 1996 he was named a Distinguished Alumnus in Computer Science at U.C. Berkeley. In 2007, he won the IEEE John von Neumann Medal for "a central role in the creation of the personal computer and the development of networked computer systems." He received the ACM Turing Award in 2009.
