CUNY Video: Preserving the Past, Bulding for the Future: Bronx Community College

Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

Designed by renowned architect Stanford White, the Gould Memorial Library at Bronx Community College is considered by many to be not only a shining example of neo-classical architecture, but White's most significant work. More than a century after it was built, BCC is working to revitalize the 19th century treasure for full use in the 21st century academic environment. "

Comments

  1. time flown; I am at Grad School, in the master's program!!!
  2. I remembered walking through the HALL OF FAME... I will always miss my BCC.
  3. I too love this building and architecture. The library is beautiful, or was. Sad that it is in the condition it is. It would not take 50 million dollars to repair this if it wasn't let to happen in the first place. Just just donate to fix it so they can let it rot again? This should serve as an example as to what is left in the architectural world. Don't let this happen.
