  1. Hi, thanks for the vid (i've just noticed it's 7 years old) I keep reading on the net about the danger of fatal electric shock, but you have bare hands !!!!?
  2. just got a second hand uni-mig welding jasic plasma cut40 and there is no info with it can it weld? or dose it just cut? thanks in advance

  5. super ji super
  6. Totley unsafe
  7. Do residential premises generally have wiring which can handle 40 amps ? How can a hobbyist safely use this, without overloading the home wiring ?
  8. haha fake. cutter set to 0 ampere and cut !! xD
  9. Circular example was better
  10. Way way way too slow dude.
there's an optimum speed and you definately weren't hitting it there.
  11. That's a superb piece of kit :-)
    Got any free samples :-)
  12. love plasma cutters, its on my list ;)
Cant help think though that the current market place on these  (especially multi function cutters/welders) is so small compared to the potential market size due to lack of knowledge/expertise of the consumer. Ive always thought if these were sold in the same premises where you could test and maybe even have a training session the sales volume would boom.
    great vid though
  13. how long will it take to cut a 2 inch long and 12mm thick line from some steel?
  14. Sir, where do I get the circle attachment that you were using?
  15. brilliant mate, thanks for uploading
  16. is plasma cutter the same thing as a blow torch?? And does weld metals together or just cut metal slabs apart?
  17. Georgee Thomas has asked "when you cut 1.2mm Mild Steel, do you get a smooth cut or do you have a burr?"

Thanks for the question Georgee!  My names Graham!
A Plasma Cutter will leave a very good edge on 1.2mm steel, but I couldn't say "burr free", because you're removing metal as you cut, that removal process will inevitabley leave imperfections to the cut edge .  It all depends what you're going to be doing with the metal after its cut!  If the cut edge is to be a finished edge, then I would rub a file round it to make sure it was as nice & smooth as possible.  If the edge is going to be welded to another piece of metal then I would not expect you to need to do anything to it.
I hope this answers your question Georgee, if not please visit our website www.thewelderswarehouse.com where you will find our phone number, and give me a call.
  18. Very nice cuts, it appears he is dragging the tip on the metal-?, is that correct-?
  19. What other equipment at home (other then the plasma cutter) do you need to start plasma cutting or is just a regular powerplug enough? And what's the difference between a built in compressor and a non-built in compressor?
