German architect Arno Brandlhuber successfully built a modern house out of a ruin in downtown Berlin. To appease the neighbors in the courtyard house behind who didn't want to have their access to sunlight blocked Brandlhuber constructed a house that allowed light through because it's partly made of polycarbonat. The building is 250 square meters large with top-class furniture and a fireplace.
