 By Architect Augusto Villalon Augusto Villalón graduated from the University of Notre Dame (BA Sociology/History of Art) and Yale University (M.Architecture). In recognition of his professional achievements, he received a Ph.D Humanities Honoris Causa degree from Far Eastern University in Manila. He was among the founders of Design Center Philippines, serving as the Head of the Product Design Department where he conducted extensive research on Philippine craft for two purposes: to preserve it or to adapt it into export products for the international market. He organized fora and training events to improve the design and quality of export products. • Indigenous Filipino Architecture in the Modern Setting 
By Architect Angelo Mañosa Ar. Miguel Angelo Mañosa is the CEO of Mañosa & Co. Inc., and the Managing Partner of A. Mañosa + Architects. His projects include the Hermitage in New South Wales, Australia, 2011; MetroJet Repair and Maintenance Hangar in Clark Field, Pampanga, 2011; and the Lanikai Resort in Hijo, Davao City, 2010. He has also worked on The New Medical City Hospital, Meralco Compound, Ortigas Center; Ateneo Professional Schools, Rockwell Center, Ateneo Science Education Complex, Loyola Heights, Quezon City; Cahaya "The Sanctuary," Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and the Campus Master Plan of Ateneo de Manila University. Ar. Mañosa studied BS Architecture at the University of Santo Tomas. He was awarded a Graduate Certificate for Architecture, Energy & Environment for Concentration on Energy Conservation and finished Masters in Design Science, Concentration on Design Computing at the University of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, in 2000. He is a Founding Member of the Philippine Green Building Council and Member of the Australia and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce, Green Architecture Movement of the United Architects of the Philippines, and of UAP-Makati Chapter. He was also a professor at the UST College of Architecture from 2000 to 2005, and Chairman of the Philippine Green Rating System (BERDE -- Building Ecologically Responsive Design for Excellence) from 2008 to 2009. Ar. Mañosa garnered first place for the Architecture Competition for "Green" Homes at the Metrobank Art & Design Excellence 2010. • Green Architecture for Sustainable Cities
 By Architect Amado de Jesus Ar. Amado de Jesus is the Founding Chairman of the Green Architecture Movement of the United Architects of the Philippines. He became a member of the UAP College of Fellows for Outstanding Design (1995) and became its Secretary in 2009. He was given the Fr. Neri Satur Award for Environmental Heroism in 2009 in behalf of the UAP Green Architecture Movement. Ar. De Jesus is the Vice President of the Philippine Green Building Initiative, a green building rating body composed of building professional organizations led by the United Architects of the Philippines. He is an honorary member of the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners. He was Philippine representative for seven years to the ASEAN Energy Awards Board of Judges of which he was Chairman for two years. He also attended the World Conference on Green Architecture in South Korea in 2000 and the International Green Building Conference in Singapore in October 2009. He attended a two-week seminar on Energy Efficiency and Conservation in Yokkaichi, Japan in December 2007. He toured Freiburg, the solar capital of Germany in February 2009. Ar. De Jesus is a Fellow of the Salzburg Global Seminar, an international conference on Sustainable Design and Climate Change which he attended in July 2008. He made a presentation on "Green Architecture in Asia" in the World Sustainable Energy Days in February 2009 in Wels, Austria, and in Hanoi upon invitation of the Dept. of Energy of Vietnam in 2007. He presented Green Architecture and Climate Change Mitigation at the Congress on Climate Change in Malacañang Palace, Manila in October 2008. He then represented the UAP at the signing of the Climate Change Act of 2009 by Pres. Gloria Arroyo.
