Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

England's economic success peaked in 1300 amidst a riot of architectural excess and was followed by a series of disasters which lasted much of the fourteenth century. Yet against a catastrophic background English architectural individualism flourished and out of radically changed social structures an architectural consensus emerged. 1. Once again, interesting and knowledgeable. My only criticism would be the idea presented that peasantry were generally happy and content. I very much doubt that such was ever the case; peasantry were often compelled to make payments of goods or money to their local baron or lord, and to Mother Church. Peasantry were a commodity to the landed wealthy, and as with later infamous land clearances, could be completely removed off the land for more profitable sheep - such has always been the way for those with few rights and limited means.

  4. @GreshamCollege It is interesting to note the difference in standards at most academic institutions for print publications vs audio and video publications.
  5. @liquidvisual Sorry about that - it is much too quiet. A mistake on our part. Remember to turn your audio back down when you move on to watch another video!
  6. Why is the audio so crappy on this one??
