French Provence in the heart of Pretoria | FULL INSERT

Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

To kick things off this week on Top Billing, we take a look inside one of Pretoria's most beautiful homes, and find out what it took to revamp one couple's dream house from the ground up. From the outset, Teresa and her husband Louis Fourie decided they would use their architect’s framework as the basis of a style that’s all their own. With a love of French and Italian culture and design, a romantic French Provence feel resonates through the house. The entrance hall has strong influences of Venetian sixteenth century architect Palladio, and the patio has a Venetian street cafe feel to it – all very global and romantic. Taking a further look inside, we find out that this is not ordinary residence. It is the type of house that demands your attention, with antique and unique pieces from all across the globe that add a personal touch to their home. It is, after all, those personal items that make a luxurious house a home. http://www.topbilling.com

  1. I meant can't mix, and last part is advice!
  2. For the people who have real taste , would grade this poor, it's mixed with italian and french style, you can put two things together, #2 you to much stuff, you clutter it with to much, I know the old furniture looks good but you have way to much, #3 there is no gravel and it's way to much organized, to clean , cheep looking, the real designers are super rare and it's not just architect but has to be built from entire stone, and the house has to be naturel feel not to perfect and clustered. If you want I can show you what's a proper elegant design,, that man who design for you is just a guy that does bigger houses and that's how he differs from average architect, business guy that's it, and it's not much about design, it has to be built from entire stone, and have natural feel, not clustered and not to organized , authentic , those chair and that black tarp doesn't match the house, it looks like restoraunt and doesn't match , your missing point ! It's not just googling and finding french antiques and clustering house , it life style and people are born in to that, you don't have that quality, it's much deeper then you think, can't buy that, if you have questions you can ask me, but if you want device I have to charge you! Good luck
