Future by Design shares the life and far-reaching vision of Jacque Fresco, considered by many to be a modern day Da Vinci. Peer to Einstein and Buckminster Fuller, Jacque is a self-taught futurist who describes himself most often as a "generalist" or multi-disciplinarian -- a student of many inter-related fields. He is a prolific inventor, having spent his entire life (he is now 90 years old) conceiving of and devising inventions on various scales which entail the use of innovative technology. As a futurist, Jacque is not only a conceptualist and a theoretician, but he is also an engineer and a designer.

2. Cruise ships are already small cities in the sea - the problem is, it's THE SEA. Unless you have fast, easy transport between sea cities without getting wet then it won't work. Plus there's plenty of unused land despite what people think (land is short in cities, not the planet - different things_

I hate the fact that the world has not embraced future(or even present for that matter) techniques and concepts for new architecture. instead we're still building cities as we have for hundreds of years, yet we know how to build twice as much for half the price. i can't wait so see the first entire city built by newer concepts

I'm assuming you're the kind who thinks society will just change in a second and that all we need is some form of violent revolution. It's a slooooow process...

17. This man has a great vision.. But the vehicles are plain redicilous.. I hope this architectural visualization and conceptional work and vision he has, will come true.. Some concepts are acceptable, and it also relies how the technology depends on the architecture and Eco wise.. So in easier words, do not ignore this man for the work he wants to see for humanity when he dies..

19. I think just a year ago the World proved to us that our resources are limited and something so extravagant like this is not feasible. Architects need live and think on planet Earth.
