  1. Under Chopin's mourning March!
  2. I knew all those facts, but if you are a fun of Agatha Christie and Poirot you probably would ;)
  3. A man who can "size you up" in the first 20 seconds of conversation.. I'm sure he detests twitter and facebook.
  4. You don't need to be phisically strong, handsome, or entirely perfect to be a capable detective. Hands down to Hercule..
  5. Knew all those. Anyone wondering why she didn't like him, read any of the Poirot stories featuring Ariadne Oliver. She describes all of the little squabbling reasons why an author gets to hate their own creations. Arthur Conan Doyle hated Sherlock Holmes in the same way. But I think that Christie loved Poirot, too. Read any comments she made about the film and theater adaptations she was alive to see. She hated people taking unwarranted creative licence with the character. Poirot annoyed her, but at bottom, she was possessive as a mother about him.
  6. I love poirot with my heart and soul, but no one ever knows him :( That makes me want to cry D'X
  7. Best detective ever created. My salute to Agatha Christie and David Suchet.
  8. You moron!

Agatha mysteriously disappeared in her own life. Does it anything have to do with the fictional character ?
She is a woman and she worked as a nurse - how much technical issue did she used in her stories ?
How much can you deduce of 'times' she lived in from Poirot stories - that is the secret, probably you would not know.
  9. Jvdesuit1, Poirot is not french but belgian.
  10. Love Detective Poirot - totally fascinated with his character - his mannerisms - his good heart - and intrigued with his delightful but firm touch of arrogance and pride - One of my favorite characters ever -
  11. Don't forget Poirot was conceived during the so called "Entente Cordiale"!It was very short of being an entente in the public and there are still many points of friction between the 2 countries with clichés which gave borth to the nickname "froggies", there was also some xenophobia on both sides of the channel, Britain claiming to be the nation above all others etc.Being French I think Poirot and all the surrounding setting is a perfect presentation of those times and find it very funny!
  12. The anime can be found on YouTube. Look for "Great Detectives Poirot and Marple."
  13. I've actually seen the anime, kinda interesting, but ultimately not much to speak of
  14. Agreed! Also maybe her dislike of Poirot turned him into such unique and peculiar character that many love!
  15. I simply cant understand why Agatha Christie didn't like Poirot like we do! She created one of the most interesting characters in the world, but she didnt love him... I doesnt matter, I have enough love for him to compensate !
