How to Draw A City In 2 Point Perspective - Sketchbook Pro - Narrated by Robert Marzullo

Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

In this video tutorial I explain how to draw a city in a 2 Point Perspective. I use Sketchbook Pro 7 to create this artwork and show you the process but the techniques used here can also be used in other programs or traditionally. In this video I show you how to first rough out your city by blocking in the larger shapes. Then by refining your artwork and adding details like windows, trim, and extrusions. After watching this you should have the knowledge to create your own buildings and cities and have a better understanding of how to draw in 2 point perspective. Be sure to like, share, and comment if you found this video or my channel helpful. I upload new content each week! Thanks for watching and more on the way! Robert A. 2. thanks for all your videos man! helps me a lot to understand techniques!
  3. Thank you for taking the time to make these. Straight to the point with great time saving tricks. Can't wait to dig in more. Cheers man!
  4. Bro's doing this with a computer, I can't do this with my hands, pencil, and a ruler! Nice video man!
  5. This is great... I would like to learn how to block in and then detail a dark alley with fire escapes, signs, garbage cans ext with a waist level of view...
  6. When you said 'you could put a hero here....or maybe a jumper....no, put a hero here!'. That made me laugh so hard, it's good to have a morbid sense of humour sometimes :P This is an amazing video though, I'm going to try out your technique tonight :D Thank you!
  7. Great instruction on 2 point perspective… Yes, I would like to see you take it a step further by adding shadows to the buildings.

Can you teach us how to draw cylindrical buildings? You mentioned it but you never drew any. This can be useful for drawing futuristic buildings or houses.

Why do you say that Sketchbook Pro has the best perspective tools on the market and Manga Studio comes second? How are Sketchbook Pro’s perspective tools better than the perspective tools in Manga Studio?
  8. awesome video, quick question, can i get straight lines like that while using a mouse? and I would love to see you finish up the artwork.. again awesome video
  9. How about adding additional points of perspective like you can in manga studio? No city i know of would really have everything in perfect 2 point perspective. I tried the perspective in sketchbook. I found it hard to get a line to stop precisely where i wanted it to. Do you have to go back and erase the overlap? Good video, I would like to see it finished out.
  10. This is a real tutorial.Not some 7 minute bullshit.Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Awesome, video! I made a blog for my web comic book, do you mind if I share it and feature you?
  12. Never used Sketchbook Pro, your video made me curious, and I kinda want to try it out now.
And yes please, I would like to see a video of taking this to the next level.
I'm fairly new to your channel, but I'm really enjoying your videos so far.
  13. wow, always fun to watch the masters at work, great job again!
I look forward to your next video. Thanks for the tips, I will definitely look into Sketchbook Pro 7 if I ever get around to trying out digital art. Keep up the great work!
  14. could you do a tutorial about how to do backgrounds like The Jungle Book movie?
  15. Hi Robert. What canvas size and DPI do you normally use? And for general sketching to make your drawings look good, what's your maximum zoom in levels?
  16. Very nice video, awesome technique and very interesting tool!!
  17. Also great video. I've been wanting to work more on my landscapes and this is helpful.
  18. Out of curiosity, what are the major differences and advantages/disadvantages of sketchbook pro, photoshop and manga studio with regards to line art. I've always worked in PS and never really messed with the other two.
  19. Greetings, Robert, very good your videos, I make a request, you could do something related to how to characterizations of characters and scenarios for the comic, I would also like you to try and do something about narrative sequences also for the comic, thank you very much I will be pending your next videos.(Sorry for my english, I am from México)
  20. great video man!
