How to draw Art Deco Roses

Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

Valentine's Day is not far away. Don't get caught out! Make a gorgeous Valentine's Day Card for the one You love! Steve Keen has asked me to draw an Art Deco style card inspired by Charles Rennie macintosh, the Scottish architect and designer. I looked at varios designs of his and thought I would adapt his trademark roses design. I hope you like it. With award winning illustrator, Shoo Rayner, who has illustrated well over 200 children's books for famous authors and for his own stories. 16. It's really down to you whaich you prefer. Watercolour maybe a little moreclassic while markers can be a bit more cartoony, but that comes down to your individual style.. good luck
  17. What do you feel is more efficient in the creation of an illustration - marker pens or watercolors? I want to make a illustrated book (just for fun, as I am only 13), and have experience with both medias, but felt that I should come for advice before jumping into things. I know it's unrelated, but any answer is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  18. Aaaah...okay. I just wondered because of this video and one the other day where you were talking about the drawings submitted and you kept saying, this looks like crayons, and I was saying no, no, Shoo, those are colored pencil. :D
