Illustrator tutorial: Create a Vector Sunburst Quickly and Easily Learn to create a vector sunburst in Illustrator. This technique works with all versions of Illustrator including CS6, CC, CC2014 & CC2015. The process is simple and uses a stroke to make the sunburst - it is quick and doesn't require a lot of fiddling to create. It is easy enough for even a beginning Illustrator user to make. You don't have to do any math or any rotation just make a circle, add a dashed stroke and you're almost done. If you like, when you are done, you can then add a retro effect with a texture or crop the image so the sunburst isn't in the middle of the image any longer.
