CHAN: Next we bring you continuing coverage of Indian Fashion Week. Today we look at clothing that was inspired from the Art Deco era in the 1920s. Here's more from the last day of the show in Mumbai. STORY: Evening and formal wear dominated Swapnil Shindes collection, using lots of variations of fine silks. Colors matched the architectural inspiration, but the shimmer from the fines silks he used kept it looking a little glamorous. [Swapnil Shinde, Designer]: "There was no name for my collection this time, but the inspiration I can say was from architecture, specifically the Chrysler tower from New York and all the architecture from London. The color palette again comes from that, lots of greys, lots of blacks, lots of muted colors, fabrics also, I've made sure, I put in some kind of sheen and shimmer, at the same time, not too bling. Meanwhile, the wedding collection in bright hues by designer Abdul Halder, also made a statement on the ramp. Ethnic outfits for men and women dazzled audience members. [Abdul Halder, Designer]: "The theme is 'happy you collection'. We've used lots of bright colors in it. We've made a happy collection which is lots of bling, lots of beautiful colors, fresh colors, its very happy to feel collection. A total of 75 designers are showcasing their collections this season at the glamorous Lakme fashion week.
