Look through our Web Page http://savelife.jdrftypeone.com We are JDRF - Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We won’t stop until we create a world without T1D (type one diabetes). We are committed to eradicating type 1 diabetes and its effects for everyone with type 1, and at risk of developing it. T1D treatment options are improving all the time. We are driving research to improve the technology people with T1D use to monitor blood sugar levels and research that will ultimately deliver a cure. Diabetes is a lifelong condition that causes a person's blood sugar (glucose) level to become too high. The hormone insulin – is responsible for controlling the amount of glucose in the blood. JDRF's Mission: is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by this disease. JDRF - the type 1 diabetes charity. Join the worldwide army of people who are making it their personal mission to fight type 1 diabetes. Together, we will create a world without type 1 diabetes. Video Credit List is stored here http://broadcaster.beazil.net/public/credits/youtube/videos/95388 The insulin pump is a small battery-operated electronic device that holds a reservoir of insulin. It is about the size of a mobile phone and is worn 24 hours a day. The pump is programmed to deliver insulin into the body through thin plastic tubing known as the infusion set or giving set. The pump is worn outside the body, in a pouch or on your belt. The infusion set has a fine needle or flexible cannula that is inserted just below the skin where it stays in place for two to three days. Only fast acting insulin is used in the pump. Whenever food is eaten the pump is programmed to deliver a surge of insulin into the body similar to the way the pancreas does in people without diabetes. Between meals a small and steady rate of insulin is delivered. The insulin pump is not suitable for everyone. If you’re considering using one, you must discuss it first with your doctor or Credentialled Diabetes Educator. You’re the reason for our success. Every dollar we put toward research comes from donations. So when you support JDRF with your time, talent, voice and, yes, your money, you enable us to advance even more research. There are many ways to join the JDRF family, but for 45 years there has been only one reason—because we are the organization that will turn Type One into Type None. Take Action - Don't be indifferent! Health Care and Social Assistance comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing health care by diagnosis and treatment, providing residential care for medical and social reasons, and providing social assistance, such as counselling, welfare, child protection, community housing and food services, vocational rehabilitation and child care, to those requiring such assistance. Since its founding more than 40 years ago by parents of children affected by type 1 diabetes, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) has been committed to finding a cure for all those individuals living with the disease. Today, JDRF acknowledges that this commitment will not likely be fulfilled in the near term. Although our ultimate goal—curing type 1 diabetes—remains unchanged, we are equally committed to better treating and preventing the disease. These goals aim to ensure that both children and adults living with type 1 diabetes remain healthy so that they can fully benefit from a cure when it becomes available. Asheville is an architecturally distinctive city, boasting many buildings that date from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The eye-catching Asheville City Building, completed in 1928, rises from a marble foundation and is capped by an octagonal roof tiled in bright terra cotta. One of many notable Art Deco buildings in the city, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Also on the register is the Grove Park Inn, constructed in 1913 of granite stone culled from nearby mountains. No itinerary of things to do in Asheville is complete without a side trip to the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.
