  1. boinky boinky boinky....pum pum pum pum pum...
    nice conversation!
  2. Pet-eeerhhh Eeehhh-isenman
  3. whether you like peter eisenman or not you've got to admit:
    (a) he's lucid, analogies on point
    (b) very well read, knows his architecture
    (c) willing to admit that there are other points of view or perspectives out there on the subject that he can't operate from, and willing to engage in polemic to justify his own grounds without believing his view is the only view
    (d) is respectful to those he debates with, but then again jacques herzog seems to be a friend.

I take his "arrogance" to be provocation. His statements are concrete, tangible ideas that can actually be wrestled with.
  4. The ending was superb:
"Peter, You're going to miss your bus"
    :D
    what a storyteller
  5. It is difficult to listen to Eisenman. His monologues are just continuous streams of self justification. His dogmatism is rather unsettling.
  6. That annoying Eisenman dude, though probably a well accomplished professional, looks like an overconfident, overopinionated, egotistic amateur, next to someone like Herzog, who barely gets a word in the whole discussion (not that he looks hugely keen on even getting involved in it).
