Julia Gorman’s site-specific installation was commissioned for the opening of MCA Inside/Out – a new space unpacking a comprehensive selection of information about MCA art and artists. This new work, 'The Forties', responds directly to the art deco architecture and décor of the former Maritime Services Boardroom designed by William Henry Withers in 1939.
