I’m Carol Staab from Douglas Elliman. Welcome to Yorkville a neighborhood that stretches from 79th street to 96th street from the East River to Third Avenue Yorkville used to be quiet and sleepy but with the coming of the long awaited Second Avenue subway it is experiencing quite an evolution. New development condos are beginning to pop up out of the ground. The Citizen 360 at 360 E 88th Street designed by Shop Architects is at the forefront of modern yet ageless design. The Kent at 200 E 95thStreet designed by Beyer, Blinder, Belle is an Art Deco inspired condo with luxurious amenities. 20 EEA a classically intricately designed condo by Robert Stern offers a bespoke lifestyle. The most abundant homes in Yorkville are the white postwar co-ops, there are many tree-lined streets with townhouses and brownstones most of them converted to apartments. There are some grand prewar co-ops that line East End Avenue & Gracie Square. There are high rise condos such as the beloved Leighton House at 360 E 88 th street that offers great views at a value. Other condos such as 170 EEA designed by Peter Marino offer 10-foot floor to ceiling windows. The Brompton at 205 E 85th designed by Robert Stern is fine example of postmodern design. The Lucida is a glass-curtain wall condo that has sun-flooded homes. Carl Shurz Park overlooking the East River is the crown jewel of Yorkville. It offers 2 dog runs, children’s playground and a basketball court. Gracie Mansion the official residence of the mayor is here. There is a river promenade where you can have a relaxing stroll.
