Santiago Calatrava designs are all about organic and neo-futuristic forms. I created my own interpretation of Calatrava design: a self-sufficient market hall with a solar panel roof. The design is inspired by organic sea forms, because it was created for a city with a love for fresh fish: Valencia. The roof absorbs solar energy in an open state, and closes when it is cloudy or night. The energy that is generated can be used in the market hall itself, and to open the roof when the sun rises.
