Its core is a planned city, which is being built by the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, a subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company, with the majority of seed capital provided by the government of Abu Dhabi. Designed by the British architectural firm Foster and Partners, the city will rely entirely on solar energy and other renewable energy sources, with a sustainable, zero-carbon, zero-waste ecology. 15. It would be a lengthy road trip in the Tesla, but it would be really interesting to see an update to this as the first phase was due to be completed in 2015!
16. The cities of the future are ones integrated with nature so that the wildlife can come back. Skyscrapers with trees on the exterior. Those big metal "trees" in Singapore. Let's make our cities pleasant once again. And renewables of course.
