In January 2009 she began working at MEB Fashion, and is now CEO of that brand. She takes care of stores, shows, advertising and public relations. Her work brought her to start managing prims and textures to furnish the brand's store; she applied these skills to her passion for Art Deco, starting to build furnitures and creating the brand Melu Deco, that aims to offer in SL true Art Deco style furniture and home accessories. Melu Deco's shops are now in many historical and retro SIMs like 1920 Berlin, Seraph City, Paris 1900, Roaring 20 Chicago. As a photographer, Melu exhibited her works at the Galerie des Machines (Paris 1900), Schloss Museum (1920 Berlin), Café des Artistes (Paris 1900), R&D Diotima Gallery, Musee de la Duchee de Coeur, Museum of American Architecture and Design (MAAD), Seraph City First Bank, La Morada de la Campanilla Gallery, Cow Boy and Surfers Gallery, Serena Center for Artists and the Arts, Galerie 17, Gallery 23 at Hotel Chelsea, Ars Exhibendi, Dizzy Gallery, The Rose Gallery (see the past exhibits on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/melusina_parkin/collections/72157626584645923/) and on her blog (http://justmelusina.blogspot.it/p/photographer.html) She's has won the 1st prize at the Winter Berlin photo contest: http://www.flickr.com/photos/melusina_parkin/6562373103/in/photostream.In 2012, a Melusina's pic has won the 3rd prize in the Ivalde Black Magic Contest (2012: http://www.flickr.com/photos/melusina_parkin/6753788205/in/photostream) In September 2012, she has been appointed Photographer of the Month by More Moolto magazine(see the article here, p. 81: http://issuu.com/mooltomaxesloon/docs/september2012/) Some of her works are shown at Campus d'Art SIM, at Blue Moon gallery, at Artist for SL and at her galleries e-mage at Chelsea and at Shiraz. As an art object creator, she has been the best voted in the Virtual Museum of Architecture Contest of Art Deco Clocks (her clock is now displayed at Campus d'Art SIM too). At the VMA, she has been charged of a talk about Art Deco in December 2010 and about the Battersea Power Station, London, in March 2012. The text of the first one has been published on Retropolitan magazine, Art Deco in SL is also the subject of a huge Flickr set by Melusina, where are collected about 500 pics of Art Deco places and buildings. As a builder, she has made the MEB main store at Klio and some othes MEB shops, the Look Elite Model agency lobby and academy, the Cotton Club set for the Look Elite agency graduation show 2012. Melu has been Chief Editor at the magazine Esselle Movie Magazine, writing on cinema, fashion and interesting SL places and follows now as free lance writer, collaborating to magazines like Retropolitan, Mondivirtuali, Virtual Worlds Magazine, MyLife. She speaks English, Spanish and Italian (her native language), understands French, a little bit of German and Portuguese; she has a blog and a Flickr. She likes good friendships, quality fashion, fine arts, exploring, riding her great horse Alpha, petting her lovely kittens Hug, Mercury, Hanaya and Silvestro and her Lord Labrador Ulisse.
