Manila's ``Grand Old Dame`` of a theater - the Manila Metropolitan Theater or MET - is up for restoration and revival and converted into a `People`s Theater``. Ownership of the historic building on Liwasang Bonifacio has been transferred to the National Commission for Culture and the Arts after it paid the Government Service Insurance System 270-million pesos.
