-Panama Canal: is 77 kilometre (48mi) ship canal that joins the Atlantic Ocean an the Pacific Ocean. It was built from 1904 to 1914. It was one of the longest and most difficult engineering projects ever undertaken. -The Euro Tunnel is 50,5 kilometre (31,4mi) undersea rail tunnel linking Folkestone, Kent in the United Kingdom with Coquelles, Pas-de-calais in northern France. Construction began in 1988 and the tunnel opend in 1994. -The Empire State Building is a 102 story landmark Art Deco skyscraper in New York city, United States. It stood as the world's talest building for more than 40 years, from its completion in 1931 until construction of the World Trade center's north tower was completed in 1972. Following the destruction of the World Trade Center in 2001, the Empire State building became the tallest building in New York city again. -The Eiffel Tower is a puddle lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. Built in 1889, it has become both a global icone of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. Named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, the tower was built as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair. -The CN Tower is a communications and observation tower in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was completed in 1976. It's name "CN" originally referred to Canadian National, the railway company that built the tower. -The Delta Works is a series of construction project's built in 1986 in the southwest of the Netherlands to protect a large area of land around the Rhine-Meuse-Scheldt delta from the sea. The works consist of dams, sluices, locks, dikes, levees, and storm surge barriers. -The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridgen spanning the Golden Gate, the opening of the San Francisco Bay into the Pacific Ocean. Construction began in 1933 and was completed in 1937. -The Sagrada Familia is a large Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, Spain. It was designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi. Construction began in 1882. Due to several causes such as Gaudi's death in 1926, Spanish civil war and depending on private donations, the basilica is stil under construction! Anticipated completion will be in 2026. - the Sydney Opera house is a multi venue performing arts center in Sydney, Australia. it was conceived and largely built by Danish architect Jorn Utizon and finally opened in 1973.
