France before the Great War. The decadence felled Mediterranean France to Baltic Germany twice. France AND Germany are falling to Islam now.
traduit en espagnol si le type latin est mieux. merci
Beautiful footages. I understand several of them were taken by Méliès himself, weren't they? Does someone happen to know if the electric railway shown at 1' 22" was a Decauville model? Thanks!
It honestly looks like we have gone backwards as a continent (Europe.) If only we avoided the world wars

Fascinating Erik. Do any of the buildings of l'Exposition Universelle yet remain? I do not recall seeing any of the beautiful architecture during my visits to Paris.

Trilby's Svengali was a character of fiction. Conversely, Marc Breed, has captivated a generation with such a unique and engaging personality that we've allowed him the ultimately luxury of a true freedom. The Art he has created, as a result of this, only seems odd; in that we view it while tinged with envy. That we in Cleveland possess such a close-up look, should be a source of extreme pride. For we may live vicariously through his artistic rampage among us. -Dr. Stanley Workman, Art History, Professor Emeritus http://artistmarcbreed.blogspot.com/
