Portdown Main aka ASWE is an art deco building constructed in the 1950s for the defence industry. It is located on Portsdown Hill to the north of Portsmouth and has been a landmark in this area for over fifty years. It has lain empty since 1997 and is currently being demolished as can be seen in the video.

1. Yes it always had an air of mystery to it but sadly no more as it has been demolished.
2. @llpalm08 I agree. I don't know when the demolition restarts but I did read that it should be completed by September 2011. I was up there a few weeks ago and although a lot of the western end has been demolished that seems a bit optimistic!
3. Its going to be wierd when this finally gets demolished, do you know if there has been any news on when demolition starts again?
