RCA Art Deco 78 RPM Record Player Model #63E Demonstration & For Sale!

Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

Here's a very nice RCA Art Deco 78 RPM bakelite record player from the 40's. This player features a 3-tube amplifier feeding a 4" round speaker and it's using a Sonotone #52T ceramic stereo cartridge bridged for mono playing the record with the correct 3 mil needle side. It has surprisingly good audio quality & volume for the player it is! This is not really my forte' so this player is for sale. It's restored and ready for many more years of enjoyment for the right person. These are not particularly scarce as they often show up BUT they ALWAYS need to be restored to work properly! The original cartridges were crystal cartridges which have long since dried up & no longer function so they always need to be changed, the motor needs to be cleaned & lubed and the electronics always need rebuilding too. All that work has been done. All you need to do now is to buy it and enjoy it! I hope you've enjoyed seeing another piece of phonographic history!

  11. Fairly simple explanation. YT said my video looked shaky & they could "fix" it so I let them. Yea, right! They made it worse than it could EVER have been. It's in the process of being reverted to original. Now it'll be fine!
  12. why is this vid looking like it was on a ship at sea lol
  13. That's a great song. Anita Bryant also did a version of "Kisses Sweeter Than Wine", and it was from her 1961 Columbia LP after she left Carlton. She also did another album called "Abiding Live" from 1962 and it was Anita Bryant's first gospel album she did Anita did gospel music at the time.
  14. Really nice Glen, that tone arm is really cool. Funny, I just listened to Honeycomb on 45 earlier this evening.
