  1. Glad I found this. Great memories from the 60's when I lived there as a kid.
  2. Thanks for the video. Very informative and gives information on how Spokane became what it is today.
  3. OMGosh, it is so obvious you are all a bunch of bias ignorant white people. Spokane is racists to the core. In the pictures are nothing but white people. You are in denial, fencers, and lukewarm. What you purposely are being ignorant to will be returned to you by 100 fold. As for the reporters in Spokane WA they should have never been born. You can delete my post since I am sure you will b/c I see nothing but bias comments on here but at least I know that my words are now in your soul. There is nothing but oppression, ignorance, corruption, and greed here which stemmed from the very past you are attempting to pass on as nostalgia. For the record, when I applied as a graphic designer for the paper Nostalgia that SOB lowered the wage what he would pay me after he had advertised a higher wage. I am a female, Hebrew, and tan skin. If you people only new the storm that is around the corner you would straighten up your act and pick up the poor, the hopeless, the helpless, the homeless, and the widows! The new depression is going to make the 1929 Great Depression look like sunshine and you all did it to yourselves for playing gods.
  4. The bit where they search for Bing Crosby on Yahoo! with a Netscape browser just kills me. (at 43:05)
  5. It would be cool if Spokane did a come back and did another Worlds Fair.
  6. I wish Spokane was classy like the history...
  7. Fantastic video about my beloved city
  8. Growing up in Spokane this brought back a lot of memories for me, especially Nat Park and Doyle's ice cream parlor. Its a great documentary.
  9. I have been to Spokane, Riverfront Park is nice, the rest is a dump.
  10. Spokane is not a drug infested hole in the ground some would say it is. Spokane has its problems as does any other growing city, compare Spokane to other cities of the same size such as Boise and Tacoma and I think you will see they have their issues as well. No city is exempt from crime but Spokane really is a beautiful city and if you haven't visited before I would encourage you to visit.
  11. Nice job!  Fun to watch.
  12. Pretty cool video. Kirtland Cutter did not design the Monroe street bridge though. Spokane was sued because some engineers stole the plans (I think from Oregon?) which had the largest bridge in the world at that time. Spokane built it one foot longer to steal the record. Kirtland Cutter only designed some look outs on the bridge, acted like he was doing it as a favor for the city, then sent a bill later on for about $20,000. It's all in a book titled "Miss Spokane" with some cool info and pics of early Spokane.
  13. Bing is from Tacoma
  14. Spokane might have been interesting in the past, now it's a dump overrun by drug addicts, drunks and racists.
  15. Great documentary.
  16. Spokane!!!! I grew up there.
