A former home, former hotel-pub once again returning to being a home in the hands of a Scottish couple. A type of house rare north of the border, this Art Deco house once again becomes a home.An 'unkempt' old farm on the historically turbulent England-Wales border appears unremarkable, rather unlike what it truly is. This is the second episode of BBC's second series of Restoration Home, a brilliant program on the saving of 'At Risk' buildings with significant heritage. -I own nothing of the content of this film, it belongs to the BBC. 5. I really don't understand the conservation limitations in the UK, Evidently England and Scotland follow different sets of guidelines. I really don't understand how this house was allowed to be converted into a hotel and did not lose its designation especially since so much of the exterior was altered.
