When a Madison, Wisconsin business wanted a signature sofa for their lobby, they found one at Home & Office Upholstery, also in Madison. Home & Office has stockpiled vintage furniture for 30 years; this sofa was made in 1909 by the S. Karpen Brothers of Chicago. Originally in mohair, we reupholstered it in plum velvet and documented the process.
