► Roppongi is the main downtown area of Minato-ku, located in central Tokyo. It offers two extremely different areas, one is an entertainment area (but aimed at foreigners, making it less interesting in my opinion) with western restaurants, bars, strip clubs and cafes, and the other - "Roppongi Hills" - a huge, top modern area ( - located both over- and underground) with lots of shops, cafes, cinemas and a museum of modern art, that centres around the impressive Roppongi Hills Tower Building. Its very futuristic architecture and almost surgical cleanliness, could easily be the backdrop of "Total Recall" or any other Sci-Fi movie. - Enjoy!

11. I have Roppongi in mind as one of the (many) attractive Tokyo landmarks and therefor I would definitely visit it.  The evening atmosphere in the video makes it even more appealing to me.  Very nice video tour !
12. Yess this is the type of city I love :) it's so futuristic, it could easily be the setting of a movie like Alien in my opinion!
13. Could be an interesting place, in very small doses. I certainly see what you mean by futuristic backdrop. The lighting might make it good for reading a book.
14. Very nice,Thomas-san!!!  You would think with all the train's and bus's, there would be very little work for the taxi's as expense as they are. Very nice street views !!  Love how you go up the escalators and there is a panorama of ad's for Micky D's !! Great view of the buildings. At one point you must have been near a large water feature, with all the water noise.  But of course one must make a stop at Starbucks for one coffee fix !!! But the last scene was the best, look down the avenue with all the trees lite up !!!  ^_^

17. Ah, you saved Tokyo Tower for the last scene! I was waiting for it. So nice to see the nicer aspects of Roppongi. I personally stay away from that place because of the "baka gaijin" who go there to slobber over the J-girls at rip-off joints like Gas Panic. "My name is Yumi, but you can call me "Yummy," ah-tee-hee-hee! Also, I'm real stupid and my ankles can go behind my ears!"
    
    Actually, I wanted to check out the Snoopy exhibit in Roppongi Hills on my last trip to Tokyo. I couldn't, however, because I was waiting around at Tokyo Station for some goofy guy who never came and didn't call me. He owes me me a couple of Dr. Mario drinks at the 8-Bit Cafe.
18. Great show once again Thomas! Roppongi looks really beautiful especially at night - this compostion of this sci-fi architecture and its illumination design is just amazing. Thanks for another 150 seconds full of reminiscent impressions.
