Los Angeles Union Station opened its doors in May 1939 and was the last grand railroad station built. It is a unique mix of Art Deco and Spanish Colonial Revival architecture in design. In 1980, L.A. Union Station was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, L.A. Union Station is a busy rail hub with travelers from Metro, Amtrak and Metrolink trains boarding trains daily. More than 97,000 rail passengers travel through L.A. Union Station each weekday. This historic event will bring attendees from all over Southern California to celebrate the past, present and future of this beloved icon. Celebrating Union Station 75th anniversary, Rusnak invited Christian Perry's Havin' A Ball Dancers to 'swing' our guests into the relevant year. Over 30 "flash mob' waiters surprised everyone as cigarette girls passed out chocolates to all. Liz Rusnak Arizmendi, Vice President Public Relations Rusnak Auto Group, welcomed the guests and introduced Adrienne Kisson, Director Los Angeles Conservatory who spoke on the historic Union Station. Mark Umutyan, General Manager of Rusnak/Pasadena Porsche spoke about the exciting new Porsche Macan. The Porsche Macan has two model variants, the Macan S and the Macan Turbo. Porsche's fifth model line, the new Macan S and Macan Turbo, are true sports cars in the rapidly growing segment of compact SUVs. The Macan S is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with 340 hp and can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds. The 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 in the Macan Turbo produces 400 hp and makes the car sprint from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. The Macans were revealed by Miss North Hollywood, Miss Hollywood, Miss Los Angeles County, Miss Santa Monica and Miss Greater San Fernando Valley. The evening featured live entertainment by Nina Fetter and the Feds and delicious food provided by The Rustic Gourmet, Pops Champagne and Dessert Bar Pasadena and De Croupet's Cake Sisters. The exclusive event was graciously sponsored by Asombroso Tequila, Chopin Vodka, Grand Marnier Titanium, San Antonio Winery, and Legends Beer. Armark provided gourmet coffee and water drinks to all.
