Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam In 4 Minutes

Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

It was the Easter weekend & we travelled to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam in April 2016. It was just 30hours in the city & we try to make most out of it. First stop was of course, food! It was late afternoon when we touched down and we went for dinner in Nhà Hàng Ngon Authentic Vietnamese Restaurant located in 160 Pasteur, Bến Nghé Quận 1 Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam. The service was excellent & the food was delicious (FTC - This is not a sponsored video) The next morning, after a big bowl of Vietnamese Pho. I've explored Saigon Central Post Office - mainly because I wanted to see the French colonial's architecture. Also, next to it is the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon. The cathedral is beautiful & serene. The stained glass windows and even the tiles are dated back to 18th century & all made in France. As soon as you walk out from the cathedral, try to walk to the side transept, just across the street were rows of book stores, cafes and street side eateries are located. For lunch, I went to Hotel Majestic Saigon. The minced meat and prawn fried spring rolls was great and point to note; don't forget to dip the rolls in the Chilli sauce!! Throughout the trip, the weather was hot & Vietnamese Iced Coffee was the drink not to be missed! The lunch venue was on level 5 - Breeze Sky Bar overseeing the much spectacular view of the Saigon River. The hotel itself was a sight to see if you loved Art Deco and French colonial architecture. It was pretty much "free and easy' schedule as afterwards, it was shopping time in Saigon Square & Ben Thanh Market. The next morning, we woke up pretty early to catch morning flight home back in Singapore. Do thumbs up and subscribe & thanks for watching!
