The community of Saltdean are being asked their opinion on how to spend £335,000 as they look to bring the art deco lido back into use. The money was gifted to the council as part of section 106 contributions when the Grand Ocean development was given planning approval in 2007. It must be spent by 2015 - but only after locals have had their say on how they want it to be spent. It is hoped the money will go towards bringing the Saltdean Lido back into use. Ahead of a consultation event that was held this Saturday (August 9), Flemmich Webb caught up with some of the locals to find out their views.
