Sevilla, Spain - Plaza de España, art deco splendor !

Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

The stunning Plaza de España is a plaza located in the Parque de María Luisa (a major city park), in Seville, Spain. An example of Moorish Revival architecture, Neo-Mudéjar; Art Deco. It is a major example of the Renaissance Revival style in Spanish architecture. Simply breathtaking. My partner Ed filmed and narrated this presentation and I edited/put it together. Filmed in mid-May 2014.

  1. To Siglos de Sevilla - you did not leave a "reply" button on for me to respond: I appreciate your feedback/input very much. However, if you do a Google search of "plaza espana Neo-Mudéjar" you will see that many, many websites will state that Anibal Gonzalez created the buildings as a MIX or MIXTURE of Neo-Mudéjar, Moorish Revival architecture, Art Deco and that is pretty much what I stated in my description, though I did not use the word "mixture" originally, but have now updated my description to make it much clearer. Thanks.
  2. This building isn't neo-mudejar, it's "regionalista" .His architect (Anibal González) made  many buildings "neo-mudejar" , "modernista" and most of his buildings was "regionalistas"
