In Shanghai for a day??? Here is a little something to keep you busy! With roughly, 24 million people, Shanghai is the LARGEST city in the world. Its dense, beautiful, futuristic, fast-paced feel makes it feel larger than life. Its historic 1920 preserved history can be seen from The Bund. The Bund is a beautiful walkway at the harbor, which stretches across the city. Across the street you can view the amazingly preserved art deco buildings, while across the river, in Pudong, you can view the amazing skyline including the Oriental Pearl Tower. You can get to Pudong by the underground tunnel or the subway system. Either way, it’s a must! Pudong has a pedestrian walkway over one of its roundabouts where you can stroll and take in the city. Shanghai also holds the worlds fastest bullet train. Make sure to take a ride on it. It only goes to the Airport and back into the city. Speaking of pedestrian friendly, Nanjing road is Shanghais main shopping district. It’s filled with westernized stores along with some great authentic shops. It’s the worlds busiest shopping center. You will also find amazing street food, hustlers, tons of people and lets not forget the great neon lights and Chinese markets. If you’re in Shanghai for a day, you can definitely hit all of these places in no time. Make sure to do it and take in this amazing city!
