Sting and his band perform songs from his new album, The Last Ship, at The Public Theatre, New York. The songs, inspired by the shipbuilding community of Wallsend where Sting was born and raised, will form part of his forthcoming Broadway play.He and the band are joined onstage by the actor and singer Jimmy Nail. 19. why does this resonate so much to me...bnw pictures...60s...industrial england "atmosphere"...factories and ships? Just dont know why. Eversince Dream Of The Blue Turtles came out, I'm instantly magnetized by its atmosphere. Same with Nothing Like The Sun, Soul Cages, Nada Como El Sol, Bring On The Night, Ten Summoner's Tales...went to a diff path...and now this...Sting have always evoked the deepest longings of my soul. Great renaissance being.
