Every February Napier New Zealand holds it's Art Deco festival. Napier and the wider Hawke's Bay region was smashed by a massive earthquake in 1931, resulting in a huge loss of life and buildings, and infrastructure. Napier was rebuilt in the style of the day Art Deco.
