TF Looper

http://apps4idevices.com/read/tf-looper TF Looper is a basic looping app that draws inspiration from hardware looping pedals. The simplistic design makes it easy to record and overdub without complications. It offers trigger recording, unlimited overdubbing, loop quantisation, octave shifting, and a very handy noise-reduction/gate feature. I should point out that this app doesn't have tempo syncing at present, but I personally found it added to the ability to create a distinctive groove, without being locked into a predetermined tempo or time signature. The video below shows a very simple demonstration of looping using my bass as a direct signal input, and also shows a quick run through most of the features. The first part of the audio track is just using the built in mic on my iPad, using objects around me and my voice, purely to demonstrate the effectiveness of the noise reduction function for removing background noise. The end of the audio track is another short bass overdub example, to further show how easy it is to quickly build up a loop while playing an instrument at the same time. This app really benefits from it's basic design and will be very useful for my own recording process when it gets AudioBus support, which is coming in an update very soon. I really like the simplicity of this app, it makes it very easy to use and get ideas down fast, so I'm going to rate it ... A Killer App! Review by Nick Trass
