See review and synopsis at: http://www.acinemahistory.com/2013/12/thais-1917.html This first film, directed by A. G. Bragaglia in 1916 and released in 1917, deals with Thaïs Galitzky's life, a woman used to take life as a game and men as pupet to play with. Her friend Bianca, in love with a man who has only eyes for Thaïs will be led to desperate action. It can be regarded as the first tentative for a Futurist cinema.

Comments

  1. Great futurist sets at the beginning of the film and the last sets for the ending of the film. I loved those futurist sets but the movie itself was boring. I think this looks like German Expressionism.
  2. Very Interesting   Thanks
